Silver Quarters
The United States silver quarter was first introduced in 1796 and has undergone not only several design changes but changes in the materials it is composed of as well. For example before 1965 the quarter was made of ninety percent silver and ten percent copper.
Precious metals such as silver are in high demand by investors as has been the case for many decades now yet coin collectors are after more than just bullion values. The United States Mint once again began producing silver quarters in 1992 and offers these as collectible yearly Silver Proof sets.
