The original Peace silver dollar was minted from 1921 to 1928 and subsequent reissues in later decades. The total minted in 1922 was 51,737,000 which is by far more than any other throughout the 1920’s.
There were a very limited amount of special proof examples minted and these feature an extra high relief. These have been known to sell for between $50,000 and $60,000 in recent years.
