1921 Silver Dollar

Quite a few coin collectors have been targeting the 1921 silver dollar as a desirable addition to their collections for various reasons. Sometimes the Morgan silver dollars are part of the plan due to their unique factor of being of being at the end of the minting of the coin. Of course the period from 1905 thru and 1920 the Morgan was not minted and thus when the 1921 silver dollar was made it was truly the last of the originals.

Other scenarios include a direct interest in the 1921 Peace dollar which makes a wonderful nod to the resolution of the treaties which occurred after the First World War ended. The 1921 silver dollar was the first of the minting of these coins and lasted throughout most of the 1920's as the demand for these silver dollars was quite high. As history dictates, the halting of the production of these coins was due to the economic climate of the late 1920's through the early 1930's when once again the minting process began in 1934 yet lasted only a couple of years from that point.
